Reporting directly to the Scientific Director of APPTA, the Partnerships and Strategy Specialist will play a pivotal role in the daily management, organization, and implementation of APPTA's operational strategies. This position is essential for guiding future initiatives and collaborations within the hub while assisting in program execution alongside the Director of Operations and the Scientific Director.
Key Responsibilities- Partnership Development: Identify and secure new collaborations with relevant stakeholders and organizations while nurturing existing relationships. Regularly monitor and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate partnership effectiveness and growth metrics.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic development of APPTA's initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities, generating innovative ideas for products, programs, and events, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Grant Writing: Lead efforts in identifying funding sources and drafting grant proposals, including the collaboration with potential partners.
- Research Recruitment: Spearhead the identification and recruitment of researchers and relevant initiatives to enhance APPTA's research repository.
- Knowledge Dissemination: Assist in the creation and distribution of APPTA's knowledge translation materials across various platforms (website, portal, newsletter, podcast), including KT blogs, evidence briefs, policy briefs, environmental scans, infographics, and research summaries, as well as organizing virtual and in-person events.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Scientific Director and/or Manager.
The successful candidate will primarily work remotely, with occasional on-campus presence required to meet operational needs and client demands.
Qualifications- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, economics, commerce) or a combination of education and practical experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient time management skills for effective project coordination, planning, and organization, with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Proficiency in computer-based document management and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Previous experience in health research and/or health or social policy.
