Position Overview

La Fabrique Entrepreneur General Inc. is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Superintendent to oversee and manage various construction projects. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Work Environment

The role will primarily involve working in interior settings across various locations, focusing on residential construction.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Evaluate daily operations to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to optimize workflow.
  • Select and hire trade subcontractors based on project needs.
  • Prepare and submit detailed budget estimates for construction projects.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and volunteers as necessary.
  • Oversee the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop and manage construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress regularly.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate any necessary revisions or changes.
  • Interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings accurately.
  • Manage project budgets effectively.
  • Direct the procurement of building materials and land as required.
  • Compile and prepare comprehensive reports on project status.
Supervision

This position involves supervising a team of 3-4 individuals.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is essential:

  • Microsoft Visio
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Word
  • Mac OS
Equipment Experience

Experience with hand tools is required.

Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are necessary for this role.
