As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the construction phase of a groundbreaking Greenfield project in the heavy industrial sector. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the project meets all quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing construction strategies, work plans, and schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation and project execution.
  • Establishing and maintaining high Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards to ensure the safety and well-being of all project personnel and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Directing and managing all construction activities to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to existing operations.
  • Leading and managing a diverse construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Effectively communicating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, suppliers, government agencies, and community representatives, to ensure alignment and support for the project.
  • Overseeing budgeting, cost management, and resource allocation to ensure the project is completed within financial targets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role within the heavy industrial construction sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
  • Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (MBA an asset).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and manage a multi-disciplinary construction team.
  • Excellent HSE management skills with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in construction scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, with a keen ability to manage costs and optimize resources.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience managing complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Must be willing to travel and be on-site as project demands.
  • Bilingual Communication: Fluent communication in French and English to effectively manage a diverse team and liaise with local and international stakeholders.
  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
