About the Role

Hamel Construction Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily project activities to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including preparing and tracking project timelines.
  • Manage projects of varying scope, from planning to final delivery.
  • Negotiate service agreements with subcontractors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing projects, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures outlined in the project quality plan.
  • Review and validate shop drawings submitted by project assistants before sending for approval.
  • Conduct project meetings with clients as required.
  • Attend site meetings with subcontractors.
  • Complete project modification preparation forms.
  • Approve invoices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare bid documents in collaboration with the Estimator and coordinate subcontractor visits.
  • Manage project closure.
  • Perform other related tasks to ensure project success and company operations.

Requirements

  • University degree or DEC in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Fluency in French (advanced), English (intermediate).
  • 0-2 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Proficiency in written French and English.
