The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is seeking a dedicated Client Care Coordinator to enhance our support team. This role is vital in ensuring that both clients and their pets receive a warm and welcoming experience.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, remain composed in high-pressure situations, and demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service:

  • Previous experience in customer service and administrative tasks is essential
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to learn VCA Woofware is advantageous
  • Outstanding customer service abilities; adept at making pets and their owners feel comfortable and valued
  • Proficient in managing a multiline phone system, including appointment scheduling
  • Responsible for admitting and discharging animal patients, as well as invoicing and payment processing
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in completing tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • General maintenance of the reception area and common spaces to ensure cleanliness
  • Eagerness to expand knowledge of veterinary services and assist staff with various tasks
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous veterinary experience or completion of an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
