Position Overview:

As a Senior Client Relationship Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth initiatives for BMO through exceptional business development and management of key client partnerships. Your focus will be on maintaining a strong track record of revenue generation through sales and syndications while ensuring compliance with internal control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by engaging with prospects and existing clients, promoting a diverse range of Bank products and services including credit, investment, and cash management solutions.
  • Lead and participate in community and Bank initiatives to enhance brand visibility and create new business prospects.
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of banking products and processes to troubleshoot issues and ensure a superior client experience.
  • Coordinate with various departments, clients, and legal representatives to facilitate smooth transaction closings.
  • Act as a primary resource for client escalations, ensuring that expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Provide expert advice to clients regarding loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements.
  • Advise business clients on effective cash management and deposit solutions.
  • Offer insights on business management and financial matters to clients when applicable.
  • Develop and nurture commercial banking relationships, including strategic planning for prospective clients.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on compliance and regulatory requirements specific to your assigned business group.
  • Analyze financial data to assess client needs and structure appropriate banking solutions.
  • Track performance metrics and proactively address any emerging issues.
  • Ensure all documentation related to loans and cash management services is accurate and complete.
  • Review loan applications and service agreements for thoroughness and accuracy, submitting them for timely processing.
  • Evaluate and structure loan requests, determining necessary documentation for approved loans.
  • Negotiate terms for credit and cash management services, including costs and repayment methods.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and pricing guidelines in extending credit and delivering services.
  • Follow up post-closing to ensure all documentation is finalized and properly filed.
  • Act as the primary sales contact for clients, addressing inquiries related to products, pricing, and implementation.
  • Compile data to support the sales process and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Assist the team with pre-sales activities, including client research and preparation of necessary files.
  • Monitor implementation requests to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Analyze internal reports and recommend enhancements to sales support materials based on findings.
  • Gather and provide research and data to the sales team to address client needs effectively.
  • Support sales and service administration to ensure a seamless client experience and identify opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client information within Bank systems to ensure comprehensive client history.
  • Ensure precise billing processes for clients.
  • Focus primarily on the business/group within BMO, with potential for broader enterprise-wide responsibilities.
  • Provide specialized consulting and analytical support to enhance client relationships.
  • Utilize sound judgment to identify and resolve issues within established guidelines.
  • Work independently and manage non-routine situations effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For Credit Qualifiable positions, must meet established credit qualifications and possess relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influential skills with the ability to drive decisions based on data.
