Job Overview

In this position, you will take charge of investigating, assessing, and resolving significant or intricate property claims, including those of a questionable nature, from initiation to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of substantial or complex property claims, encompassing settlement discussions and first-party litigation.
  • Verify policy coverage by ensuring the details of the claim align with our claims guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive file documentation by entering relevant information into the designated systems.
  • Engage appropriate vendors in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with and involve the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and Strategic Data Quality Program (SDQP) team when necessary.
  • Process claims payments within the designated authority after confirming the claimant's eligibility.
  • Identify all Subrogation and Salvage opportunities.
  • Mentor junior adjusters as needed throughout the investigation process.
  • Manage additional claims assignments or projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills are crucial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with analytical and organizational skills.
  • Professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Over 10 years of experience managing commercial and personal property claims, demonstrating growth and proficiency in handling large, complex claims.
  • Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial insurance wording.
  • A university degree in any field is required. A college diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized community college and/or the CIP/FCIP designation is mandatory.
  • Atlantic Licensing is considered an asset.

Compensation: Salary range is $54,000 - $100,800.
