Position Overview
The Claims Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting members and stakeholders throughout the claims journey, ensuring a high level of service and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional support to members during the claims process, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Engage in proactive communication via voice, digital, or written formats to facilitate the efficient handling of all inquiries.
- Analyze claims and interpret policy language to assess coverage and relay decisions to members.
- Gather and evaluate information from estimators, loss adjusters, contractors, and repair facilities to accurately assess losses.
- Coordinate services with external vendors, including estimators, rental agencies, and repair shops.
- Maintain an organized scheduling system and document claim activities in accordance with established protocols.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated customer service abilities, with a focus on empathy and member satisfaction.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a customer service role.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
