Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Technology Project Manager to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading assigned projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes, and driving execution risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small to medium complexity projects, and play a support role on larger projects.
  • Manage and validate financial forecasts, and conduct ongoing reconciliation.
  • Break down strategic problems, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Provide guidance to project sponsors on implementation and sustainment, resulting in successful project outcomes.
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including business, operational, and technology deliverables.
  • Develop and implement change management plans, ensuring consistent measurement and delivery of expected project benefits.
  • Execute project requirements within governance frameworks, focusing on risk appetite, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Develop project management artifacts, adhering to applicable enterprise standards.
  • Monitor and control project deliverables, making recommendations and adjustments to the overall project plan as needed.
  • Provide project sponsors with advice on the viability of the business case, including costs, benefits, KPIs, and other relevant factors.
  • Understand project interdependencies, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder partnership, effectively communicating with project sponsors and building trust and rapport.
  • Take ownership and accountability for project problems, identifying and resolving them in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Typically between 4-6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience, with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Entrepreneurial skills, with a working level of judgment, learning agility, and ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency, with in-depth verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and data-driven decision-making skills.

BMO offers a competitive salary, with a range of $54-$101,500.00, depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
