Your role

Become a part of our team as a Lead Capital Projects Manager within the Southern Ontario business unit.

In this position, you will collaborate with our team of specialists who oversee significant capital building and infrastructure initiatives. Engaging with clients throughout Southern Ontario, our team plays a crucial role in facilitating meaningful transformations by delivering community-focused projects such as recreational facilities, civic administration buildings, fire stations, libraries, and other municipal infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    • Embody company values and cultural principles
    • Direct multiple project delivery teams
    • Cultivate and enhance client and professional relationships, serving as a Trusted Advisor
    • Spearhead the adoption of training and tools to support service delivery
    • Delegate responsibilities and empower project delivery teams
    • Develop a personal brand
  • Growth:
    • Increase annual sales through leadership and industry expertise
    • Collaborate with National Directors and Leaders beyond the Business Unit to identify and pursue opportunities
    • Discover cross-selling opportunities
    • Lead technical contributions for proposals
  • Management:
    • Supervise project delivery team performance
    • Manage client accounts
    • Ensure high-performing teams excel in both performance and professional practice, escalating project delivery issues to Professional Practice
  • Quality:
    • Responsible for ensuring that all project work adheres to our Quality Management System
    • Accountable for Client Satisfaction
    • Foster a culture of quality
Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in civil, municipal engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • P. Eng. and PMP certifications preferred.
  • At least 10 years of consulting engineering experience in delivering capital projects for municipalities.
  • Prior experience in capital and municipal planning for infrastructure development.
  • Extensive client-facing experience in project delivery.
  • Led or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q's, tenders, and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of various design and construction delivery models and associated industry-standard contracts.
  • Practical understanding of provincial government planning legislation and processes.
  • Possess the leadership skills necessary to influence decisions and resolve client and project challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling software (MS Project).
