About the Role

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a leading academic health sciences facility, is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief of the Odette Cancer Program and Regional Vice President, Toronto Central North, Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Odette Cancer Program, a regional cancer program fully affiliated with Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and the University of Toronto, in delivering high-quality, multi-disciplinary care for various cancers.
  • Act as the Regional Vice President, playing a key role in coordinating cancer care across Ontario, jointly accountable to the President & CEO of Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and the President & CEO of Sunnybrook.
  • Execute the vision, mission, and goals of Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and Sunnybrook at the provincial and regional levels.
  • Collaborate with the Sunnybrook Foundation to identify key philanthropic priorities and secure funding to support the program's growth and development.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Odette Cancer Program, ensuring alignment with Sunnybrook's Strategic Plan and the University of Toronto's academic goals.
Requirements
  • Hold an MD degree and certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Be qualified to hold a clinical full-time academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
  • Bring a transformational leadership style, with outstanding interpersonal skills and experience working in diverse populations.
  • Have a strong track record of innovation, with a focus on personalized oncology, early phase clinical trials, and cell-based therapies.
