Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a leading academic health sciences facility, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Chief, Odette Cancer Program. As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cancer care in Toronto Central North.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Odette Cancer Program, a regional cancer program fully affiliated with Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and the University of Toronto.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to accelerate the growth of personalized oncology programs, including expansion of early phase clinical trials and development of cell-based therapies.
- Collaborate with the Sunnybrook Foundation to identify key philanthropic priorities and secure funding to support program initiatives.
- Work closely with the Regional Vice President, Toronto Central North, to coordinate cancer care across Ontario and execute the vision, mission, and goals of Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and Sunnybrook.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
- MD degree and certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent qualifications).
- Qualified to hold a clinical full-time academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in cancer care and program development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
