About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Planning Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the team in monitoring, reporting, and analysis of the overall project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all Business Activity Unit (BAU) Portfolio and Financial activities, including opening and closing projects, headcount and professional fees tracking, demand to capacity analysis, and analysis of annual/quarterly/monthly targets to actuals/forecasts.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to track project progress and funding.
  • Ensure 100% recovery of resources in our tools.
  • Month End Processing: Ensure month end financials are accurate and complete.
  • Support the planning and delivery of town halls and ask me anything sessions.
  • Support supplier delivery activities, including oversight of work authorization processing, milestone trackers, and statements of work.
  • Help with the creation of executive level insights related to Supplier, Portfolio, and Financial activities.
  • Develop ad hoc queries for management reporting, identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain SharePoint repository.
  • Participate in various employee engagement activities, preparing materials and assisting with planned events.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance/Accounting (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in Finance, solid financial management, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level.
  • Ability to multi-task.
