What will your role entail?

The position of Strategic Planning Analyst / Senior Strategic Planning Analyst is a dynamic and fast-paced opportunity that requires an individual capable of working autonomously to provide strategic and operational assistance to senior leadership, as well as the broader International Card Services (ICS) Canada division. The ideal candidate will possess strong business insight, exceptional organizational abilities, and will excel in cultivating and utilizing relationships across all organizational levels.

Key responsibilities include:

Offering planning and coordination support to the ICS Leadership Team, encompassing strategic business planning, project oversight, budget management, analytical assistance, and leadership of specific strategic initiatives as needed. Aiding in the management of critical strategic processes, including ICS HQ-led initiatives; identifying key stakeholders, facilitating communications, and managing timelines to ensure successful and timely outcomes. Supporting the annual strategic planning cycle, including tracking essential metrics and scorecards, while collaborating closely with key stakeholder groups to align strategic objectives with financial goals. Enabling the execution of the team's strategy and long-term planning. Overseeing a comprehensive colleague communication strategy, which includes town halls, All-Hands meetings, business updates, and various digital or written communications. Contributing to colleague engagement initiatives and representing ICS Canada on multiple committees, task forces, and projects.

The ideal candidate will be a highly driven self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and leading projects independently. Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and experience in a strategic role are essential. Flexibility, excellence in execution, and the utmost discretion are critical. Exceptional financial insight, problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and collaboration proficiency. Excellent stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to influence peers and superiors across various business units. A high level of business insight, outstanding strategic thinking, process management, and time management skills. Ability to formulate clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information effectively across various media. Proven project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks to achieve results within tight deadlines. Understanding of the Canadian financial institution landscape and key compliance regulations impacting our industry. Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operational Excellence, HR, and Risk teams to drive results.
