About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Portfolio Management: Assist in monitoring, reporting, and analysis of our overall project portfolio to ensure accurate financials and effective resource allocation.
  • Provide Financial Insights: Create reports and provide analysis on projects and portfolio budgets to inform business decisions and drive strategic growth.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Maintain the integrity of our financial data and ensure 100% recovery of resources in our tools.
  • Support Month-End Processing: Ensure accurate and complete month-end financials.
  • Develop Executive-Level Insights: Help create high-level insights related to supplier, portfolio, and financial activities to inform business decisions.
  • Enhance Productivity: Develop ad-hoc queries for management reporting and identify opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain SharePoint Repository: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our SharePoint repository.
  • Support Employee Engagement: Participate in various employee engagement activities, preparing materials and assisting with planned events.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance/Accounting (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience in finance, solid financial management, and reporting skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with proven experience conducting data analysis, discovery, and aggregation to provide meaningful analysis and management reporting.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
