We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Health Information Management Director to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of health information management strategies that support high-quality patient care and integrated care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of health information management strategies that align with Northern Health's vision, mission, and values.
- Oversee the management of health information systems, including electronic health records, to ensure accurate and timely access to patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to design and implement effective health information management processes that support patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, and families, to ensure that health information management services meet their needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to health information management staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in health information management and apply this knowledge to improve our services.
- Bachelor's degree in health information science or a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in health information management.
- Proven experience in leading change and implementing organizational change initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A competitive salary range of $116,591 to $145,739, based on education, training, and experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, and a municipal pension plan.
