Health Information Management Director

Northern Health is seeking a seasoned health information management professional to lead our Health Information Management (HIM) team. As the Director, HIM, you will be responsible for delivering HIM services that support integrated care and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team responsible for delivering HIM services, including registration, release of information, records management, and health informatics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve HIM functions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage complex projects and quality improvement initiatives to drive business process redesign and improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including health care providers, patients, and community partners.
- Develop and manage contractual arrangements related to HIM services.
- Bachelor's degree in health information science or a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in HIM or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in leading change and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate and negotiate effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to the needs of stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment and adapt to a rapid and changing environment.
