Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Certification, indicating advanced culinary skills.
  • Several years of experience in professional culinary roles, with a progression through various kitchen positions.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a culinary environment.
  • Post-secondary education in culinary management or a related field.
  • Valid Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Smart Serve Certification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer skills for inventory and menu management.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control in a culinary setting.
  • Experience in retirement living is an asset.
