Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager of Experiential Learning. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of co-curricular programs that foster entrepreneurial thinking and experiential education.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Development and Delivery
  • Design and implement experiential learning programs that align with the university's strategic goals.
  • Develop and deliver competency-based training and programs that enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty and external partners to develop entrepreneurial thinking and innovation programs and resources.
Student Support and Engagement
  • Provide leadership and support to students participating in experiential learning programs.
  • Facilitate the Internship Orientation program, individual goal-setting, and reflection processes for interns.
  • Develop and implement a program to support a successful internship experience for employers.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
  • Manage community service learning projects emerging out of Experiential Learning and Career Development activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to support experiential learning initiatives.
Professional Development and Research
  • Stay current on the literature related to experiential learning and education.
  • Contribute to the development of new and innovative certificates or courses that support the articulation of experiential education.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Experiential Learning and Career Development.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. A Master's degree in a related discipline, such as education, organizational development, or a related field.
  2. Familiarity with the theoretical foundations of experiential learning and education.
  3. Previous experience working in a university environment, preferably in a role related to experiential learning or student affairs.
  4. Strong research and writing skills, with experience writing project proposals and reports.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  6. Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. A team player who can identify common goals and work collaboratively to achieve them.
  8. A positive role model who can mentor students and contribute to a positive work culture.
  9. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on best practices in experiential learning and education.
