Construction Superintendent for Water Treatment Facilities

Job Overview:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent for Water Treatment Facilities to oversee the construction of a water treatment plant. This role involves providing direction and expertise in the execution of construction activities.
As the Construction Manager for a significant remediation initiative, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and effective construction process. The project encompasses extensive operations and is anticipated to span several years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the construction of the water treatment facility, ensuring adherence to the approved design specifications.
- Leads and mentors project coordinators, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors involved in the construction process.
- Ensures that all work aligns with the defined scope, timelines, budgetary constraints, quality benchmarks, documentation standards, and safety protocols.
- Interprets technical specifications and evaluates site conditions in relation to the design.
- Monitors compliance with regulatory standards and oversees work package assessments.
- Guarantees that adequate supervision is maintained on-site throughout operations.
- Upholds construction quality through a rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process.
- Manages the workflow for subcontract closeout checklists.
- Collaborates with various management teams to ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards.
- Assists the project engineer in compiling monthly progress reports on work packages.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or a related technical/business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in construction supervision and management.
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects, particularly in challenging environments.
- Strong knowledge of industry practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing on-site activities involving multiple subcontractors.
