We invite you to become a part of our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of a state-of-the-art water treatment facility. As the Construction Manager for a significant remediation initiative, you will utilize cutting-edge techniques to ensure a secure and sustainable environment. We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent with a proven track record in managing site operations and large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction of the water treatment facility, ensuring adherence to design specifications
- Provide guidance and support to project coordinators, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with scope, timelines, budget, and quality benchmarks
- Interpret and apply technical specifications, evaluate site conditions, and collaborate with the Project Engineer for necessary design adjustments
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, provide effective supervision on-site, and uphold construction quality
- Manage the subcontractor closeout checklist process, work collaboratively with various managers, and assist in the preparation of monthly reports
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction supervision and management
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects in Northern Canada
- Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Experience in managing subcontractors and resolving performance-related issues
