About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Water Treatment Plant Construction Superintendent to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of the water treatment plant construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with the approved design and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and provide leadership to project coordinator engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors, monitoring their performance and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the work is completed in compliance with the scope of work, contract/subcontractor requirements, schedules, budget, and quality standards.
- Interpret and implement technical specifications, assess site conditions, and determine if modifications are needed to meet actual site and material conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and monitor work packages.
- Maintain quality of construction using the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process.
- Control subcontract closeout checklist workflow, including confirmation of substantial completion, performance metric reporting, and final release.
- Collaborate with Mine Manager, Health and Safety Manager, Environmental Regulator Manager, Engineering Manager, Quality Manager, and Construction Manager to ensure work packages are completed with knowledge of other Construction Work packages.
- Assist project engineer with preparation of monthly reports on work package progress with schedule and budget compliance assessment.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or related technical/business field or equivalent related experience.
- 12+ years of experience in construction supervision and management.
- 5+ years of work experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects, working in Northern Canada.
- Knowledgeable of industry practices and regulations.
- Experience managing on-site activities of multiple subcontractors and addressing and resolving performance issues with subcontractors.
