Your Role:

As the Graduate Program Administrator within the Department of Physiology, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our academic community. Your primary responsibilities will include advising students on various academic and financial matters, ensuring they are well-informed about program requirements, procedures, and deadlines. You will also oversee the admissions process, ensuring a smooth experience for prospective students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to students regarding academic and financial inquiries.
  • Advise on petitions and appeals, offering alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Evaluate and recommend allocations for award funding.
  • Analyze enrollment data to inform planning and identify needs for additional course sections.
  • Create promotional materials and lead outreach initiatives.
  • Conduct seminars and workshops aimed at student recruitment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of experience.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in student admissions or recruitment within a large educational institution.
  • Proven experience in advising prospective students and their families on admission processes.
  • Strong knowledge of graduate functions such as admissions, enrollment, and funding.
  • Experience in promoting programs and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Understanding of equity principles and experience working with underrepresented groups.
  • Ability to develop outreach materials for student recruitment.
  • Experience in assessing award funding allocations.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and execute recruitment events.
  • Experience in fostering an inclusive community.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and student information systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
  • Exceptional public speaking and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential matters.

Travel Requirements:
This position may involve occasional travel for recruitment events.
