Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a project manager on multiple building structure projects. The areas of expertise sought are: asset maintenance, major building transformation, and/or multi-story commercial and residential construction.
  2. Be a technical reference in their field and resolve complex engineering issues.
  3. Validate the accuracy of project directives and other engineering deliverables on projects under their charge.
  4. Coordinate resources and various professionals, as well as ensure liaison with internal disciplines for delivery and production within established deadlines and priorities.
  5. Meet with clients, plan client needs, prepare proposals, letters of intent, and establish budgets and schedules.
  6. Ensure liaison with clients to verify project progress, ensure their opinions and requests are taken into account.
  7. Collaborate closely with clients to resolve all project-related questions, such as but not limited to, technical requests, finalization, and budget requests.
  8. Perform contract follow-ups and track financial contract evolution.
  9. Act as a project manager on projects under their direction and perform budget follow-ups in collaboration with involved resources.
  10. Evaluate and implement methods, procedures, and tools to increase service quality, optimize ways of working, and increase productivity.
  11. Participate in the development of the structure department by getting involved in technical and administrative normalization processes.
Required Profile
  1. M.Sc.A or M.ing in structure and/or a management diploma is an asset.
  2. Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
  3. Minimum 15 years of experience in building structure design and at least 10 in management.
  4. Having worked on large-scale projects in both public and private sectors.
  5. Mastering French and English, both orally and in writing.
  6. Mastering applicable building structure codes and standards.
  7. Building structure design software (CSI Etabs, SAP2000, SAFE, ADA, or equivalent).
