Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this role will be responsible for providing clinical education and support to staff, as well as contributing to the development of clinical programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical education programs for staff, focusing on best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancing patient care.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff on clinical practice guidelines and standards.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality indicators.
  • Collaborate with other Clinical Practice Specialists to plan and deliver educational programs and initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical leaders and contribute to the development of clinical programs.
  • Develop and maintain a current knowledge base of best practices and clinical management tools.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or Health Administration preferred.
  • Membership in a professional association.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience in Operating Room/PACU.
  • Experience as an educator, including the ability to design and deliver programs.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, primarily working Monday to Friday, with occasional evening, night, or weekend hours for purposes of orientation and education.
