Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff on best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Conduct quality monitoring audits to ensure compliance with standards of practice and care.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to professional practice and clinical care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of quality indicators.
  • Collaborate with other Clinical Practice Specialists to plan and provide the Nursing Orientation Program.
  • Participate in organization-wide management activities and provide administrative support to Patient Care Managers.
  • Demonstrate leadership and role-modeling behaviors to promote a culture of excellence and respect.
Requirements
  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Master Degree in Nursing, Education or Health Administration preferred.
  • Membership in professional association required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience in Operating Room/PACU.
  • Experience as an educator, including the ability to design and deliver programs.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • ACLS instructor designation an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
