Clinical Informatics Analyst

Interior Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst I to support the team on a casual basis from our Kelowna location. This role involves maintaining and supporting information systems that cater to clinical and health information needs throughout Interior Health, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
About the Job:
The Clinical Informatics Analyst I will be responsible for modifying existing application programs, gathering information from users to design forms and prepare data flowcharts, and working closely with the senior analyst to communicate with users and gather information about current system uses. The role also involves providing input about new system requirements and implementation processes, supporting the implementation of system changes, and providing user support related to clinical and health information software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modify existing application programs by reviewing specifications, coding program changes, and making adjustments.
- Gather information from users to design forms and prepare data flowcharts from existing applications according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate with users to gather information about current system uses and provide input about new system requirements and implementation processes.
- Support the implementation of system changes and provide user support related to clinical and health information software.
Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in computer programming or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
