About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Informatics Analyst II to support the development and implementation of clinical and health information systems throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct requirements analysis and needs assessments for clinical and health information systems, including user interviews and business process understanding.
  • Install, configure, and test clinical and health information systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and document system processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Prepare implementation plans and schedules, including resource estimation and progress monitoring.
  • Support and maintain clinical and health information systems, troubleshooting issues and providing training to users.
  • Liaise with software vendors to troubleshoot problems, assess priority, research, and evaluate alternatives, and implement recommendations.
  • Determine ongoing information needs, implement system changes, and provide support related to clinical and health information software applications.
  • Develop proposals for modification and/or enhancement of vendor software applications and oversee installation, testing, and problem resolution/debugging of program coding.
  • Participate in the development of department standards, methods, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate computerized software dictionaries, databases, and reports using vendor software applications.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate educational training requirements, providing related training to meet the learning needs of users.
  • Provide informational input and expertise during acquisition of products and services and during development of department project plans, project priorities, and tactical plans as required.
