Clinical Informatics Specialist

Interior Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Analyst II to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, testing, maintaining, and supporting information systems that support clinical and health information needs throughout Interior Health.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements Analysis: Conduct thorough requirements analysis and needs assessments for defined department/program areas by conducting user interviews, assessing information flows, and understanding business processes.
- System Implementation: Install, configure, and test clinical and health information systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Process Development: Develop and document systems processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.
- Project Management: Prepare implementation plans and schedules, including resource estimates, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- System Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for clinical and health information systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing system changes as needed.
- Vendor Liaison: Liaise with software vendors to troubleshoot problems, assess priority, research and evaluate alternatives, and implement recommendations.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to meet the learning needs of users, ensuring effective use of clinical and health information systems.
- Department Standards: Participate in the development of department standards, methods, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, plus two years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to organize work, deal with others effectively, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, operate related equipment, and perform the duties of the position.
