About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Manager to join our team at Michigan Diner. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Development: Create and implement new recipes for our baked goods, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor our pastry team on the preparation and presentation of our baked goods, including techniques for mixing, baking, and decorating.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure our baked goods meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Work with our sales team to develop and implement strategies for promoting our baked goods, including in-store displays and promotions.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to our baked goods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
  • Skills: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment

Our bakery is a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. As a Bakery Manager, you will be working in a team environment with a focus on collaboration and communication.
