About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Yasmeen Bakery (Windsor) Inc. in Windsor, Canada. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Production: Prepare dough, batters, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Pastries and Special Occasions: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as required.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
