Position Overview

The Geological Project Specialist engages directly with clients to identify challenges and provide valuable solutions. This role supports new clients exploring our software, as well as seasoned users seeking technical assistance, training, or project support. Our goal is to ensure that every client feels valued and well-supported. By acting as an investigator and problem solver, this position delivers both sales support and technical expertise through a thorough understanding of integrated solutions, analysis, and timely responses.

As a Geological Project Specialist, you will develop advanced expertise in workflows facilitated by Leapfrog Works and Central, enabling rapid and precise model creation and stakeholder collaboration. Additionally, you will have the chance to broaden your skill set by assisting our software development teams located in New Zealand. Although based in Vancouver, you will be part of a global Technical Services team, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our clients across various time zones. Travel and training delivery may constitute approximately 10% of your monthly responsibilities across Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Share your extensive product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing users in the Environmental and Civil sectors.
  2. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities by providing product demonstrations, understanding customer needs, setting trial expectations, and developing tailored implementation plans for success.
  3. Act as the regional technical advocate for Seequent's Environmental and Civil product portfolio, including conducting internal training for staff.
  4. Utilize Seequent's information platforms to comprehend client portfolios and the diversity of users within their organizations.
  5. Provide remote technical support and work through examples with users.
  6. Deliver various user support interactions, including face-to-face, web-based, and email communications, ensuring successful resolutions.
  7. Proactively engage with users to conduct health checks and facilitate software upgrades.
  8. Maintain up-to-date client accounts in CRM, documenting health checks, software upgrades, user updates, and training.
  9. Conduct training sessions on Leapfrog Works and Central, typically 1-2 sessions per month, each lasting 3-4 days.
  10. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and actively seek to enhance outcomes and perceptions.
  11. While not directly involved in software development, represent the voice of the customer in North America.

Qualifications

  1. University Degree in Engineering, Geoscience, or Geology (BSc or MSc).
  2. 3-4 years of work experience in Environmental Sciences or Civil Engineering.
  3. High-level proficiency in using Leapfrog Works and 3D Geological Modeling.
  4. A passion for course creation, instruction, and problem-solving.
  5. Experience in Environmental or Civil Engineering is preferred.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster strong working relationships.
  7. Tenacity, persistence, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  8. Proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively, including remote work.
  9. Eligibility to work in the required country and travel internationally.
  10. Residence in Vancouver, Toronto, or Denver is required.
  11. Fluency in English; proficiency in French and Spanish is an asset.
