Culinary Services Supervisor

The Culinary Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of food preparation and service. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and staff management to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
Educational Requirements- Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
- Develop and implement effective work schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 individuals.
Safety and SecurityMust be bondable to ensure safety and security within the workplace.
Work Environment- Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required.
- Extended periods of standing and walking may be necessary.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Strong client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to tasks.
Minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
