About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Fleet Manager to join our team at ETLAS FREIGHT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our transportation fleet, ensuring that our goods are delivered safely and efficiently to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage the finances or budget for our transportation operations, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making the most of our resources.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit, ensuring that our customers receive their goods on time and in good condition.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our transportation operations comply with all relevant regulations, including those related to safety, security, and environmental impact.
  • Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring that our operations are efficient and effective.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure the best possible rates and services for our company.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Revenue Management: Monitor and manage our revenue streams, ensuring that we are maximizing our profits and minimizing our losses.
  • Cargo Management: Record and manage cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of over 20 people, providing guidance and support to ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Trucking company or similar industry.
  • Health Benefits: Dental plan, disability benefits, and health care plan.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
