Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Operations Lead to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. Reporting to the Director of Transportation, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of drivers across multiple locations and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. Your role will involve supervising drivers, optimizing delivery routes, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to a team of drivers, fostering optimal performance.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Coordinate driver assignments and routes, maximizing efficiency and minimizing delivery times.
  • Monitor driver performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing valuable insights into fleet operations.

Qualifications

  • AZ or DZ license preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the transportation industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, demonstrating a strong understanding of operational procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements for commercial vehicles.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, effectively guiding and motivating your team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
  • GEOTAB experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
