Job Description

We are in search of a driven and skilled Fleet Operations Supervisor to enhance our team in Windsor, Ontario, reporting directly to the Director of Transportation. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with managing a team of drivers across diverse locations, ensuring the secure and efficient functioning of our fleet. Your responsibilities will encompass supervising drivers, optimizing delivery routes, and upholding exceptional standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and overseeing a team of drivers
  • Offering support and direction for peak performance
  • Managing daily operations and safety protocols
  • Coordinating driver assignments and optimizing routes
  • Evaluating driver performance and instituting enhancements
  • Ensuring adherence to transportation regulations
  • Maintaining precise records and documentation

Qualifications

  • AZ or DZ license is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
  • Experience with GEOTAB is advantageous
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
