About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at McCain Foods in Florenceville-Bristol, Canada. As a key member of our Produce Accounting department, you will provide critical support to our Director of Finance and other functional departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and mid-month account analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Process AR Invoicing, maintain sales registers, and perform AP Coding.
  • Enter data for Crop Protection Product Programs and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with petty cash sales and daily bank deposits.
  • Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and respond to general company email.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration (minimum two-year community college degree in Accounting or Business Administration).
  • Two to three years of experience in accounting or office administration.
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, and able to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to understand sources of information and obtain information effectively.
  • Tact and diplomacy to ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks (effective time management skills).
  • Understanding and exposure to accounting software, experience with ERP systems considered an asset.
  • Strong working ability in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
