Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at Connecting Dots - Clairmont. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to implement organizational policies and programs, ensuring maximum impact and efficiency.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring a strong and effective team structure.
  • Co-ordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Policies and Programs: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs, ensuring a clear direction and focus.
  • Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Staff Management: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegate necessary authority, and create optimum working conditions.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or management.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior management role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, team player.

  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
