We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team at Connecting Dots - Clairmont. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to achieve our goals and objectives.
- Authorize and establish major departments and associated senior staff positions to drive business growth and success.
- Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure seamless execution and alignment with our strategic plan.
- Strategic Planning and Decision-Making
- Establish clear objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to drive business growth and success.
- Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, ensuring that our interests are represented and protected.
- Human Resources and Talent Management
- Select and develop middle managers, directors, or other executive staff to drive business growth and success.
- Delegate authority and create optimum working conditions to ensure that our team members are motivated and empowered to achieve their best.
- Supervision and Team Management
- Supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Cultural Competency and Diversity
- Develop and implement cultural competency training and awareness programs to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Work Environment and Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.
- Work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
- Education
- College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
- Experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Language
- Fluent in English.
