About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team at Connecting Dots - Clairmont. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to achieve our goals and objectives.
    • Authorize and establish major departments and associated senior staff positions to drive business growth and success.
    • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Establish clear objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to achieve them.
    • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions to promote our interests and build relationships.
  • Human Resources
    • Select and develop middle managers, directors, or other executive staff to ensure a strong and effective leadership team.
    • Delegate authority and create optimum working conditions to support the success of our team members.
  • Support and Inclusion
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
    • Develop awareness training to promote a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.
  • Operational Management
    • Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
    • Ensure the effective management of our operations to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP degree.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Work Setting
    • Child care centre or similar environment.
  • Supervision
    • 5-10 people.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Flexibility.
    • Organized.
    • Team player.
  • Work Term
    • Permanent.
  • Work Language
    • English.
  • Hours
    • 40 hours per week.
