The HR Information Systems Analyst (the "Analyst") plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of all HR Information Systems under the guidance of the HRIS Manager.

This position requires a deep understanding of HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and Pension Administration processes, ensuring that operational execution aligns with production schedules and quality outputs.

The Analyst will utilize PeopleSoft modules, exploring new features and functionalities, while developing and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at boosting productivity and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include supporting projects focused on continuous improvement, system enhancements, and various HR operational activities.

The Analyst will act as a primary resource for functional support to technical teams, HRIS Records Analysts, HR Business Partners, payroll, and other stakeholders.

Collaboration with the Senior Business Analyst is essential for applying enhancements, modifications, and upgrades to existing systems, as well as troubleshooting production issues related to HRIS and its interfaces.

Responsibilities also include creating functional documentation, conducting testing, implementing system changes, and collaborating with various teams across IT and other departments throughout the project lifecycle or during troubleshooting efforts.

Projects may encompass areas such as benefits, compensation, payroll, time and labor management, performance management, learning, absence management, and professional development, as well as IT recruitment projects and external interfaces.

The Analyst will provide insights and recommendations to enhance system effectiveness, oversee end-to-end project deployment, participate in design workshops, and liaise with cross-functional teams.

Additionally, the Analyst will support the Senior Business Analyst in HRIS support, troubleshoot production issues, develop documentation (including system and user manuals), manage security, and handle reporting tasks (e.g., queries, SQL). Team collaboration is vital for coordinating unit projects.

Other responsibilities may include managing tax updates, year-end changes, workforce administration, and various PeopleSoft modules.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage with a diverse student and staff population and show a commitment to anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.

Adaptability, responsiveness to change, and a focus on continuous improvement through creative problem-solving are essential traits for success in this role.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.

Successful candidates will excel at managing multiple tasks, staying organized, and effectively prioritizing projects to meet a demanding workload.

Qualifications include a minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, along with at least 7 years of experience as a business analyst, particularly with proficiency in PeopleSoft (Payroll, Workforce Administration, Time and Labor, and Absence Management), PeopleQuery, SQL, and Human Resources (equivalencies may be considered).

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access for data manipulation are also required.
