We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.
Job Summary:The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Recruit and hire staff
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
- Attention to detail
- Fast-paced environment
- Overtime required
- Repetitive tasks
- Standing for extended periods
The Line Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high level of attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and safety.
