Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Fraser Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our outpatient procedures department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures, including oscopy, minor surgical procedures, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient admission to procedure rooms and perform intra-procedure duties as needed.
  • Monitor patient conditions during procedures and provide feedback to supervisors and physicians.
  • Document patient observations, treatment, and care information in patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, education sessions, and team conferences.
  • Assist with orientation of new staff and students.
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as answering phones and maintaining records.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • One year recent relevant clinical experience in minor surgical procedures or other outpatient procedures.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification.
