Job Title: Tile Installer

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at Richmond Consulting Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone, to create beautiful and functional surfaces. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, measuring, and marking them.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and other materials to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
  • Set tiles in place, aligning and straightening them to ensure a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on tiling techniques and best practices.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to create a seamless finish.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity of the surface.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets to support heavy loads.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite to create stunning surfaces.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to create durable and low-maintenance finishes.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual labor and heavy lifting.
  • Handling heavy loads and working at heights.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling to access and work on surfaces.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure accurate and precise work.
  • Large workload and fast-paced environment.

  • Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Permanent full-time position with 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
