About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at Richmond Consulting Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Installation
    • Prepare surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free of debris.
    • Mix, apply, and spread adhesives, mortars, and other materials as required.
    • Set tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
    • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power tools.
  • Finishing Touches
    • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
    • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
    • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative designs.
  • Site Management
    • Work safely and efficiently on construction sites, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
    • Manage materials and tools, ensuring they are properly stored and maintained.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as required.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
    • Physical Demands
      • Physically demanding role, requiring frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
      • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights.
    • Personal Qualities
      • Accurate and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
      Working Conditions
      • 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
      • Permanent employment opportunity.
      • English language proficiency required.
