Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare in the Cambridge area.

Job Summary:

RhynoCare is a leading provider of long-term care services, and we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and adhere to protocols on all assigned shifts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a compassionate and supportive manner.
  • Respect for each resident's individuality and right to self-respect and privacy.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes influencing the operation of the nursing home and nursing department.
  • Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record check.
