Key Responsibilities:

The Executive Assistant serves as the primary administrative support to the President, operating under significant pressure and managing substantial workloads. Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of the Hospital's operations and the complexities associated with the President's position. The role demands a strong commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for delivering high-level administrative and secretarial support, exercising considerable initiative and independence in handling a range of intricate tasks that require a high degree of confidentiality. Additionally, this position oversees and coordinates the activities of the Corporate Office's administrative and secretarial support personnel, ensuring the efficient operation of designated Board and administrative committees.

Experience Required:
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, ideally in a senior support role within a large organization.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Successful graduation from a recognized administrative secretarial or administrative assistant program.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding both French and English.
  • Typing speed of at least 75 words per minute.
  • Proficient in various computer systems and software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion with sensitive information.
  • Ability to effectively engage with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Exhibits a mature and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively promote the Mission of St. Boniface Hospital.
