**Job Summary:**
The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its team as a Bilingual Senior Refund Administrator. This is a designated bilingual (English/French) position that requires fluency in both languages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process refund applications under the tax statutes administered by the Taxation Division.
- Analyze complex and sensitive refund applications, requiring senior delegation and financial authority.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public by phone and in person.
- Interpret, explain, and apply policies, legislation, or regulations.
- Review applications and documentation for compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, or regulations.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and French (verbal and written).
- Enrollment in Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Preparatory Courses level or suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience reviewing applications and documentation for compliance.
- Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying policies, legislation, or regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Knowledge of the tax statutes administered by the Taxation Division, including the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA).
About the Taxation Division:
The Taxation Division within the Tax Administration Branch in the Department of Finance administers taxation legislation through information, compliance, audit, and enforcement programs on behalf of the government of Manitoba.
