Hallmark Dental Laboratory, a prominent dental lab in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a dedicated and organized Production Supervisor to enhance our dynamic team at the Newfoundland facility. The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the department operates smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and fostering a collaborative work environment. This position involves guiding the team in effective time management, adhering to production timelines, and upholding quality assurance, while also ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills to fulfill their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:
  • The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the department's Operational Scorecard, which includes key performance indicators. This entails understanding and analyzing data, conducting thorough reviews, and implementing informed enhancements in collaboration with the Quality & Technical Specialist. Monthly reporting on both status and improvements is essential.
  • As a supervisor, mentor, and educator, the Production Supervisor adheres to the Hallmark Policy Manual and human resource protocols. This role involves engaging with team members throughout various stages of their employment journey, including:
    • Recruitment and selection processes
    • Onboarding and training initiatives
    • Employee evaluation and development strategies
    • Management of disciplinary actions and recognition programs
Qualifications for the Production Supervisor:
  • A degree in business management is advantageous.
  • Proven management experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
  • Dental industry knowledge is NOT a prerequisite.
