The Mississauga branch of Carrier is in search of a proactive Sales Executive who will establish the company as the leading provider of building automation products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and surpass quarterly targets and annual sales objectives.
  • Develop strategic partnerships within designated accounts and territories to enhance the adoption of Carrier's offerings.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, addressing inquiries from contractors and collaborating with consulting engineers on specifications.
  • Maximize profitability through needs assessment with end users, influence on specifications, and strategic pricing.
  • Identify and evaluate potential customers, referring leads to other segments of the Carrier business when appropriate.
  • Effectively utilize sales tools to plan, document progress, and expand business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Keep management updated on sales progress and account statuses.
  • Participate in trade shows and engage with industry professional organizations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and uphold ethical standards in all business dealings.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC Controls or Building Automation Systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Demonstrated professional selling skills.
  • Over 3 years of sales experience in building automation or HVAC controls.
  • Familiarity with Direct Digital Controls (DDC) control theory.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Carrier's product line is preferred.
  • A self-motivated individual with strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to integrity, high ethical standards, and quality in business practices.
